2021.10.15 23:35 dou8le8u88le Microdosing Libs
Hi - I've just started microdosing Libs - I see that a lot (if not all) the info out there seems to be based on Golden teachers, but as I understand it Libs are stronger? I've started a few days ago on 0.1g, 1 day on 2 days off (Fadiman Protocol). I did a 1.5g fun run last weekend before I started so am not really feeling much other than a slight lift (assuming because of tolerance) so cant tell if I'm over doing it. Also stopped drinking and smoking weed so that has effected my mood negatively. Any body here have any advice on whether I should be following the suggested dosage or should I be doing less as they are stronger? Or hold I just work on finding my sweet spot over the next few weeks?

2021.10.15 23:35 YazuroYT What makes a passive character bad?
I was analyzing my character for how passive and active he is and something else crossed my mind: What if the MC was intentionally passive and that was a flaw? But then I had to think about what makes passive characters unlikable. Maybe they should reluctantly go along with everything but they always had another idea or thought they didn't act on, and eventually they would, which is when they "learn the truth". How would you guys make a passive main character?

2021.10.15 23:35 Slow-Lawyer3706 Do a lot of things X Do one thing at a time
Hi I'm a Brazilian student and I have a lot of time to study and do things, and I've been trying for a year to study pixelart, website and game programming, investments, design and English.
I'm not good at any of these things, I mostly know the basics and I don't know if I need to focus on one and then try the others or if it's okay to keep trying everything together.
What do you think?

2021.10.15 23:35 Chart-trader But where are we? Russell 2000 broke the downtrend line but then was sold off dramatically to close below again. That candle looks pretty bad but...Today was options expiration and the intraday action could have been from that. Weekly chart still bullish.

2021.10.15 23:35 torkoo Started taking a bunch of supplements at once and I'm seeing dramatic improvements, is there a way to scientifically figure out which ones are helping me with least risk of setting myself back?
I've had a lot of nonspecific symptoms for a long time, which affect my quality of life a lot.
I went to the doctor and had panels of tests but they didn't really find anything wrong with their tests. They tested me for iron, all blood count, clotting, diabetes, thyroid, sex hormones, magnesium, Vitamin D, B12, and it was all fine apart from some elevated liver enzymes which was determined to be a mild fatty liver from poor lifestyle.
What do I think could have brought on these deficiencies?
My diet has been very poor historically, and I spent over a decade eating only oven ready pizza and junk food like chocolate. I have had diarrhea 1-3x a day (which has been investigated medically) for about 15 years and I believe that the constant diarrhea and loss of appetite/taste (which really reduced my desire to eat different foods) led to poor absorption and made it even harder for me to recover these nutrients on top of my diet not providing much of it in the first place. I ate no fish, ever, and the only meat I ate was the pepperoni and occasional pieces of ham or chicken on my oven pizza. I had periods of depression and extreme anxiety where I would eat very little for weeks/months and at one point I basically ate 1 small meal a day and smoked cigarettes when I felt hungry. With the B1 in particular I did not realise that you can deplete it within a few weeks of not eating.
I did some research and decided on the following supplements:
B1 (as Thiamine Mononitrate): 300mg
Why? I had all the symptoms of deficiency. Numbness in extremities, fatigue, shortness of breath, fast pulse, muscle weakness, indigestion, total loss of appetite, chronic diarrhea, total depression regardless of meds, blurred vision, unexplained high blood pressure, constant feeling of extreme stress for no reason, irritability, 5 second recall memory, inability to remember events from my life, problems sensing temperature, loss of tactile sensations, extremely low pain tolerance and feeling pain from things that shouldn't be painful. I didn't feel like I was firing on all cylinders by any stretch of the imagination and it was worrying me. I felt like I must have something seriously wrong to feel like this. I even had a brain scan because it was so bad, which came back clear.
Omega 3: 1320mg EPA, 880mg DHA
Why? My eyes were extremely dry all of the time, the optician recommended it. I later read that it can help cognitively as well and can lower blood pressure, both of which I needed.
NAC (N-acetylcysteine): 1200mg
Why? It has been shown in studies to have potential to improve fatty liver inflammation, and there is evidence that it can help with many mental health conditions.
CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10, ubiquinone): 600mg
Why? I can't remember to be honest, other than it being vital for the body to produce energy, and with my level of fatigue I would give anything a go.
Zinc Picolinate 44mg* for a week, then down to 22mg
Why? My sense of smell and taste have been getting worse for years. The only reason I noticed is that occasionally when I would eat certain foods (never quite figured out what) they would return for a bit and I'd realise that they'd been gone. Loss of appetite. Diarrhea for years, several times a day (which has been investigated medically). Brittle hair. Wounds taking ages to heal (I'm not diabetic and all blood counts, clotting factors, iron were fine). Fatigue. Zinc has been shown to lower cortisol levels and my symptom of chronic stress for no reason showed this was worth a go.
Why? Tension and sore muscles, inability to relax, trouble sleeping, muscle spasms.
B12 (as Methylcobalamin): 1000mg**\*
Many of the same reasons as B1, the neuropathy symptoms in particular made me think this is worth taking regardless, as a preventative measure more than anything.
What improvements did I see?
Within 3 days I had my first fully formed, solid bowel movement in as long as I can remember. This continued and I became regular, and I no longer got stomach pains, indigestion, or bloated bowels. My vision became sharper than I can remember and no longer went in and out of blurriness periodically, I felt like I could take very deep breaths and they felt satisfying. I would need to lay down to get my energy back every 3 or 4 hours before and feel ready for bed after 12 hours awake, now I can stay awake for 16 hours no problem and still feel better than I used to first thing in the morning. My appetite returned with a vengeance, my taste and smell returned, my eyes no longer got dry every half an hour. My muscle cramps, spasms, and twitches stopped completely. My muscle soreness went away completely. My muscles no longer failed after a short exercise, and it felt like infinite stamina to me. After years of sleeping 12-13 hours and feeling exhausted, I started jumping out of bed after 7-8 hours sleep feeling great. I suddenly saw things in a positive light and the world felt "3d" instead of flat and featureless. Pleasure returned, as did feelings of love, joy, relaxation. The numbness, enhanced pain sensitivity, and chronic stress feeling disappeared completely. I was flooded with memories of my past that had simply vanished from my awareness. I was able to recall things that had happened recently, and even recall things from yesterday! I started dreaming again after having dreamless sleep that felt like being unconscious. My heart rate reduced by20bpm. I had a second ultrasound and they said the fat level on my liver has gone from "severe" to "mild, borderline moderate" after just a month.
My best guess is that my B1 and Zinc levels were low. I think the diarrhea going away is a major and without the malabsorption a chain reaction has started where I am absorbing more from the foods that I eat which is replenishing whatever else my body needed. Neurologically I saw major improvements after about 2 or 3 days which is in line with B1 deficiency being known to resolve rapidly.
* High dose zinc is a bad idea unless your doctor okays it, since too much of it can cause a copper deficiency which may lead to permanent neurological problems. 40mg is considered a safe upper limit.
** I had blood tests in May which showed normal levels of magnesium, but I have heard that serum magnesium does not tell you anything about magnesium stores. Since I had taken magnesium on the day of my blood test I don't think it can be trusted.
*** My B12 levels were also normal on my blood test (from May), but to my knowledge there is no real problem in taking large doses of B12. Please correct me if I am wrong.

2021.10.15 23:35 Snarkyish-Comment 28/M/PST and a 24/M/PST Looking for two others for (at least) B4B and Legion
As the title says, a buddy and I are looking for people to play those two games.
Tbh, mostly Watch Dogs Legion, as those online missions require more than two and have been kicking our collective asses. And we have a third who wanted us to play with him (part of the reason we downloaded it to begin with), I don’t want to tell someone who read this post and hear from me “We’re full, beat it.”
That said we both have Game Pass, GTA, Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry (pick one), Wildlands and Breakpoint, Minecraft, Fortnite, Battlefont 2, COD, A Way Out. We got our individual games to play, but that’s between the two of us.
So let me know if any of this is up your alley!
Also, this is the first time I’ve done a post for two, so feel free to tell me if I’m doing something wrong.
